Yoni Steam Activation

  1. Create a space in which you won’t be disturbed for the duration of your steam. Light some candles, incense, sage, or whatever makes you feel good. You can put on some music or sit in silence. Set intentions or say a prayer before steaming.

  2. Mix 1 cup herbs with enough spring water to cover the herbs. Cover pot and simmer for 10 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and pour the mixture into a yoni steam seat or heat-safe bowl/pot.

  4. Remove clothes from the waist down and sit over the steam. (you can sit on an open seated chair, steam stool, or there’s a seat you can purchase that fits into your toilet for convenience.)

  5. Wrap a blanket or sheet that extends to the floor around your waist so the steam stays directed into your yoni. Test the heat BEFORE sitting over the steam so you don’t burn yourself.

  6. Enjoy your steam for 30 minutes or longer if you wish, reheat steam as needed during this session but do not ever reuse the same steam for future steams. I enjoy pouring my steam back into the Earth with a prayer when I’m done, do whatever feels right to you.

When should I yoni steam?

Yoni steaming can be done whenever feels right for you. I personally enjoy steaming before my menstrual cycle and/or after my menstrual cycle for help with releasing.

Is there ever a time I shouldn’t steam?

Do not yoni steam while pregnant, while menstruating, with an IUD in, or with an active infection or UTI.

Is yoni steaming safe?

Yes. Yoni steaming is safe if you get your steams from a knowledgeable source. There’s many yoni steams made with herbs that should not be steamed into the vagina and may be too harsh. Also, the herbs should be 100% organic for proper benefits and uses.
